Good morning everyone,
Ahhh so tired. Too many things to do in a tiny amount of time.
Oh yes, last night I got meself dunked in a swimming pool Baptist style. It wasn’t as traumatic as I imagined. My hint is that it’s easier to get baptised in a pool than in a church baptism pool. It’s deeper and bigger and hence you’re less likely to experience any disasters with falling over or hitting your head on the side. And at my church the steps down into the pool are very narrow – I would be at very high risk of stacking…
In other news.. hmmm I can’t think of any. Maybe later.

Congrats on the dunking thing. I was baptised in a swimming pool too . . . was a little odd!

Congratulations from me too! Glad to hear there weren’t any disasters
I was baptised in the church’s baptistry – no disasters but I did have to blow water out of my mouth once they let me back up again – it felt like they were holding me down for ages, though I’m sure it was only a second really!

That is very exciting! Congratulations!!
I was baptized in church dunking type pool in long flowing white robe with weighted hem… very trad, and very sticky to one’s bod (and wet tshirt like) when wet…

That’s so cool (probably literally as well as figuratively too!). Congratulations.

Congratulations. It probably was cool! Unless it was a heated indoor one.
I was baptised in a massive flower pot. Well actually, it must have been a tree pot.
No way it could have been baptise style (falling backwards) in that.
I did have a see through when wet white gown to wear though. That gown put me off getting baptised for about 20 years.

congratulations! The one disadvantage of swimming pools is they tend to be a little cold – maybe more of a problem this side of the globe…? Our church have been known to use the sea though – now that’s COLD!
